Hi all,

I've recently come across this absolutely gorgeous looking "LPS" coral, but I cannot identify it. It doesn't look like any Favia, Acanthastrea, Blastomussa, or Micromussa I've ever seen, but I can't think of any other genera that it could be. The skeleton is unique to everything I can think of.

It was a FWS confiscation, and it originated from the Aussie/Indo-Pacific area. Other than that, you're guess is as good as mine. Anyone seen a coral like this before?

Just an FYI, the encrusting coral next to it has already been I.D'd as Porites sp.
