Lets see the mixed opinions. IMO I wouldnt pay 750$ each for these guys. If they were like 20$ each I'd probably think they're cool. The price itself just changes my perception of the overall look of the fish.

Those are close to the Snowflakes they had. Those sold for up to $1200 a pair - nothing I would ever pay, but they sold them as fast as they could get them to stores.

Lol. There was a good point brought up somewhere though.

If the whole point to tank breeding/aquaculturing is to sustain natural wildlife, why are "we" breeding these morphed/interbred clownfish.

the point of it aquaculturing is to not take things out of the ocean. it doesn't matter if there morphs or not. it is still less fish being taken out of the ocean. i think the pics ORA used make the fish looked diseased. but i saw someone else post a pic on another forum after he bought a pair and they don't look that bad. for $750 i would rather have another pair of snowflakes.

Thats the first thing I thought as well. Marine fish are always so vibrant and beautiful and these look drab and sickly.

I don't understand the point of a white fish unless the white makes other colors on its body stand out. I would rather have a $5 betta fish :)

just about all of ORA's clowns, especially the snowflakes, picassos, and nakeds all look like crap when they first come in. We never sell any right off the bat unless someone ordered a pair. Partialy because they are younge, as well as other factors, the white always loks a little gray, and the orange is always pale, and the markings are not clear. As they become more established in their own tank as opposed to a tank of 3000 and get older, the colors improve and they look amazing. Would I spend 750 for a pair? Definitely not. But there are a surprising number of people that would.
The original purpose of aquaculture was to substain wild populations. But if you can creat something never seen before, why would you not do it? There are douzens of hybrids in the hobby. And most wild caught fish dont even look as nice as the aquacultured ones. There are also grafted corals. Some people think they look awesome and will pay a pretty penny for them. The same with clownfish. I will agree, however, that many people, especially those willing to spend so much on a clownfish, do so entirely to be able to have something that very few people do. But unfortunately, that is what so many people in this hobby are about; collecting something rare. But once these guys grow up, i garentee that they will look awesome.

well if they were 20 bucks each, I'm sure people would think they are cool.

Ugly, even uglier than the way over priced snowfake. They look like freaks of nature. Ohhh I guess they are.
