FTS: lets see them

I want to see your FTS. I will post mine and my project nano as soon as i can get some decent pics. I want to see how your mantis rolls, where he calls home and where he puts kicks his pleopods up for a rest. Thanks all!

Took this one a couple of days ago - finally brought some corals up from the basement that had been given to me that I've been keeping in a tub for 6 months.

I did trim her algae bush down last night, though... she was enjoying it too much. You can see her sticking up out of the sand in the very center.

JokerGirl, this has to be one of my favorite FTS, I love the fact that you got your mantis to build right in the middle! I also love the fact that you gave him/her 55 gallons to play in!

It's obviously still a work in progress, but it's getting there.

As far as getting her to build in the middle, I had a little trick. Leftover from my first mantis, I had this perfect rock that I placed right in the center.

The rock is actually flat on top and almost completely circular on the bottom. It created a nice starting point for her without having to use PVC.

She's slowly sunk the rock into the sand and almost completely covered the top of it.

That was my idea, my first attempt at a mantis tank i had way too much live rock and i never got to see the little guy.
