What max length of cable for either the Direct Connect and Energy Bar?

I take it the Direct Connect uses a phone cable and the Energy Bar uses a USB?

Am I right?

What is the capabilities / differences between the 2?

Thanks

DC8 has a documented limit of 10-15 feet (I can't find the actual number but it is close). I've heard of people extending that but supported is quite short.

EB8 uses a AquaBus cable (USB-like) and I think Curt mentioned 200 feet (documentation says lengths over 200 feet).

Also, according to documentation EB8 can have defaults in case of lost communications with the controller; DC8 is dumb and only changes state when a command is sent to it from the controller. There are other differences like current sensing and such as well.

Here is a link with lots of information:

You can use Cat5 network cabling for longer lengths on the DC8, but not as long as the AquaBus reliably.
