Just curious what people do as far as tank temps, i've had friends as low as 72 and as high as 85 so i was kind of curious what everyone else did?!

Mine is 78 to 81 without chiller also. A/C in house is set at 77 and fan on top of tank keeps it within range, Central FL weather!

very true, i dont think you need to go out and spend loads of money on a chiller, just set your a/c to around 76 and your tank should be alright

I have my tank of a temperature controller set at 79.5 degrees. It sometimes gets up to ~81 degrees but no less then 79.

I have a basement tank that stays right at 80 most of the summer (usually without the heater going on), but it takes 300 watts to keep it there in the winter.

I voted 81-83, but 79.5-83.5 depending on the time of year would be more accurate.

77 to 80 depending on the time of year... Heaters are set to come on at 77.

I set my controller to 80. In case my controller is slightly off, or my house AC shuts down, it gives me a bit more wiggle room...

fishaholic - That avatar is great!

My older tank used to stay between 73-76, but now with MH in my new tank it's between 77-80
