Is a coralife skimmer a good skimmer or should i continue to look

Continue to look. I have had 5 of them and if they are something you already have, you can tinker with them but if you are going to buy one new, keep looking. There are better skimnmers for the money out there.

they suck.i have the 100 on my 20g QT.i run a asm g4 on my display and damn talk about skimmate.!!

A friend gave me their Coralife skimmer, used it for a couple of weeks, gave it back.

if you're broke that's not a bad skimmer, but use it in a drilled sump/tank, 'cause when the water evaporates, the skimmer is unbalanced and water pops out of the skimmer pretty quickly. The pump is powerful so it can lead to buying a new floor.
I added an air pump to my ol' 3004 air intake, and put some fish line around the pin wheel and it was a lot better.
