hey everyone,

This thing has spawned from my rock and has been living for a few months now. It looks like a slug with a foot and small hump, almost like a helmet. Its spotted and crawls on just about everything w/o doing any harm thus far. From what I can tell, it manly eats algae and growth on the sides of my tank, rocks, etc.

Can anyone confirm or deny the identity?

I recently have had an outbreak of Aiptasia and am wondering (wishing) if this thing is Berghia Nudibranch as I have heard they eat Aiptasia.

thanks for all your help - this site rocks!!

It sounds like a stomatella snail, a harmless grazer. Do you have a photo?

Looking at the photo, I think it is a stomatella.
