i just finished building a sump and an overflow box from a diy on this site, so i have it up and running to watch for leaks or any other problems. The only problem that i am encountering is the pump is noisy, i used 3/4 pvc tubing for the return to the tank the pump is a 700 gph, and its a 75gal, with a 20gal sump, it is pretty loud like it is vibrating, so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know thanks.

3/4" pvc can only support 300-400 gph that could be your problem. you need to be using 1 1/4"

They make these rubber pad that go under pumps. But I've heard a baggy full of sand works just as well, if not better.

and what he said ^^^
