Lugols Solution

Hello, I was curious as to how many people dose Lugols solution? I use it as a coral dip but never to dose my tank(1 drop weekly or whatever it is directed)
Any one have luck with it? Does it help with polyp extension or color?

if you do not test for iodine, do not dose it. or any other chemical for that matter. iodine is consumed so slowly by most systems that water changes more than handle the demand. overdosing iodine is not hard to do and can be detrimental to invertabrates.

Iodine test kits are very tuff to indentify with the color charts, My friend owns Greenwich Aquaria (Jason) and dis agree's with trying to accurately test for Iodine. I am dosing with Logus but I olny do half the reccomended does daily.

Just thought Id share knowing test kits are not cheap.

When I dose which is infrequently, I dose iodide and not iodine.
