Hello-
I am looking for a kalkreactor that is rated for line pressure. In my case, line pressure feeding the RO/DI unit is 55-60psi. From the outlet of the RO/DI unit, I have a T going into a BRS top-off unit. It enters the solenoid, then I run a loop from the solenoid output to the kalkreactor and finally to the float valve on the top-off unit.
I have had one DIY unit fail on me so far, any suggestions?

The GEO can take that amount of pressure. I would think they all can.

Nope. Precision Marine specifically states NOT to run in-line with that kind of pressure. I emailed them regarding this. Are you 100% sure the Geo can handle that rating? It does not specify that it can on the website.

Sorry, No, I'm not.
But it's all sch. 40 and i don't see where it would leak maybe the uniseals? Mine's under a little backpressure (a jug of RO 5' over the unit) but not 60psi.

I doubt you are getting 55-60 PSI out the output of a RO/DI. That would be like a 1500 GPD unit. Now if you T'ing off before the RO/DI unit and going to the kalk reactor, then that defeats the purpose of a RO/DI

I've read a few of the worst horror stories about people doing this with kalk reactors. It's never the reactor that fails but something else like float-valve or a leak inthe CL and the tank fills up with high pH kalk. That fine TOTM in Oregon was one this happen to and another in Westminster, Ca.

The RO/DI output goes to an accumulator with an airspring for backpressure.
I made one of these myself out of a spare RO/DI canister, so I solved the problem entirely: http://www.cvreefers.org/showthread.php?t=14556
