I've been doing a lot of reading on DSB and decided I need to go deeper than the 3" I had in my tank.
So I got sugar fine sand, rinsed it (apparently not a huge success) and added about 1/2" to the bed using the submerged pitcher method.
According to WWM you're supposed to only add 1/2" per week or so so that the critters can dig their way out.
I tried so hard to do the submerged pitcher thing right but my tank looks TERRIBLE!
Like I poured milk in there! Scary.
I told my husband he had to stop for carbon on his way home. Will that help?
I am not looking forward to doing that again.
Please tell me it will be okay...
