Coralife Aqualight HQI Igniter

I have a bad igniter on my 150w hqi and am having trouble tracking another one down. Anyone know where I can find one? Hardware store possibly?

BUMP. Someone out there has to have needed one of these at some time. None of the places around STL have been able to help me out.

He is a lighting expert. Does it for a living. I believe he helped another member find an ignitor for the same unit.

Your alternative is to bypass factory ballasts and install new, electronics or magnetics. The Coralife fixtures are funky if I remember right. External magnetic ballasts but they place the ignitors (and maybe caps too) inside the fixtures. Plus they are a different circuit type than usually used. But that is from memory.

Anyway ... I will PM you his contact info. I dont think he will mind, he is a nice guy and always willing to help.

I'm sorry. I threw mine away when I swapped to electronic ballasts.

Well I called Oceanic and the gentleman from Coralife tech. is sending me one for free. Thank you Coralife. I'll be buying from them in the future.

I had the UV glass break on me once and they replaced it for free also. Very good customer service IME.
