Has anyone tried this? Does it work? I know hydor says it only works with their wavemaker, but can you actually use the RKL and program to different speeds and to go back and forth between speeds?
Looking to get the Hydor Nano for my 6g and wanted to see if it would work to spend the extra money getting the controllable one. Otherwise I'll opt for the cheaper.
Thanks

I run a Hydor nano on my 20g cube. We don't vary the speed, it's simply on and off. It works fine and I've had it running for some time!

does it start right up, any clattering at all like the MJ mods on wavemakers?

I've heard "clattering" a couple times but 99% of the time is quiet! Keep in mind you get what you pay for with them. You can get a noisy pump once in a while.
My personal goal is to get a MP10 on my cube. But I will only replace broken parts so I'll be waiting until my $29 pump dies before replacing it with a $200 pump. ;)
