RO modification

I have an RO unit under my sink in the kitchen. It was installed before I bought the house. There is the RO filter unit and a small holding bladder tank which pushes the water through the tap when you turn the lever. I would like to modify it with a T or something before the holding tank so that I can let it fill a bucket. I would put some kind of float so that the bucket doesn't overflow. Has anyone ever done this and if so what will I need and the best place to get it?
