Here are a few macros I took with my new camera. It's a Canon XSi with a 100mm macro lens. These aren't the best photos compared to what I've seen from other people here, but I'm just starting to play with all the settings, so hopefully I can get it figured out....

+1 for the great start. I suggest dropping your ISO, sharpening more in post processing and avoiding center composition.

If you move the subject up, right, left, or down it will generally be more interesting. There are exceptions and you are the artist. This is your painting. I do think you should (google image) "rule of thirds" though. You will quickly see what we are referring to.

great start :D (I'm not a photographer or anything but I can recognize good pics :D) and the rule of thirds is a good thing to consider, we learned about it in art class (im still in high school)
