I have just been given some Zoanthid and they do not seemto be doing too good (not extended)
I got a four inch square of Zoanthids from a friends tank they
are growing on the sand .
my tank is 4'7 L X 27"H x 30" W have thee MH 2 x 150 & 1 250.
good flow in most of tank as mainly sps all doing well
all parameter good (low nutriant) I have put the Zoanthids
in the low flow area on the bottom of the tank .
Is there any other supliments needed (I add Calcium and Magnesium and all top up water is Kalkwiser.)

Maybe try high flow? Also, the more you touch/move them around, the slower they are going to open. Sometimes zoas introduced into new tanks take a few days, even weeks to open up. I say just give it time.

When did you add them to the tank?

Light shock... start them all the way in the bottom and most likely on the outer edge of the tank with GOOD flow. let them get used to the new tank/lighting etc. They'll open with in a few days to a week or so.

Once acclimated, slowly move them to the middle then upwards as time goes.
