Removing copper

I used one of my koralias in my hospital tank with copper. I would really like to return it to my display tank. Is there any way to make it safe to do so, without putting copper into my display? Would soaking it in vinegar help?

yes thats what i heard to do is soak it in vinegar
and give it a good washing

i mean if you wash it the copper thats left on it isnt going to effect a 120 gallon system

Its not porous so it cant absorb copper so a good rinse and reuse. Good Luck

I would soak it in vinegar, wash it off with ro water, then use it.

yes i would say over night would be good enough

I run my K2 in vinegar for about an hour running to remove buildup, overnight would be even better though.

Overnight is fine. Actually pumps should be run periodically in vinegar to remove calcification. Will maintain your pumps much longer that way.
