View Full Version : My new tank about a week old now!

Got the live rock for it last wednesday already seeing bits growing, my brother gave me a few bits to start me off and all seems well at the moment fingers crossed!

Calcium 400mg/l

Nitrate 0ppm

Phosphate 0ppm

Carbonate Hardness 125.3

DKH 7

I am using 2 Koralia 2's and a heater

20kg of fuji live rock

4 TMC Aquaray LED strip lights

Thats about it!

Gotta agree, that is some of the best rock work I have ever seen. Lots of surface space but also lots of nice sand available. Only downside is that you might need to add another powerhead to blow back behind the rock work. I just use a nano and it works great (my rock is up against the back like your( but not as cool lookign).

I use Seachem Stability every day for about 10 days 7.5ml my brother did this also with his and it was fine from day one never did cycle!

The tank is an Aqua Medic Chromis that usually comes with a MH lamp I bought the whole lot second hand at a good price and sold the lamp and replaced it with LED's

I see what your saying I may have to add another but it may be hard to make it nconspicuous!

I see what ya mean. Not alot of options. You might be able to take off the directional nobs on the koralias and put the regular things back on and see if that doesn't create enough defused flow to circulate back through your rockwork. And, ya know, it may just be fine as it is...
