The tips of my pink bird's nest are turning white. Not new growth, the white goes down a ways on each branch. Not sure what is wrong parameters are spot on. Had the coral out of water for a short time while glueing it to live rock, could this be the cause?

It would help if you had a picture of your birds nest. Pink Birds Nest can fade to white or brown if it doesn't have enough light. Did your tips bleaching happen suddenly or gradually.

I'm at work, so I cant send a pic until later. It happend quite suddenly (few hours). I had the coral out of the tank while I was trying to remove a red mythrax crab (kept eating my mushrooms). It was probably out of water atleast 5 minutes. Now a good portion of the branches are white and my 2 damsels have begun to pick at it (didn't happen before).
