Any one have experience with either of these units:
AquaticLife T5 HO Light Fixture or
Current USA SunDial T5 HO w/ Timers & LED Fixture

The tank is 30"L, 12"wide, 23"high. I'm having difficulty finding decent lights to fit a 30" length so I'm shopping for the 24" size. I know t5's are all the rage now, any recommendations for this size tank. Only interested in soft corals ....

Thanks in adv for replies...

I'm also considering a Hamilton hood, the deluxe 260w:
Comes with 2 65 watt actinic 03 blue PC bulbs and 2 65 watt 10000K PC bulbs.
Anyone ever order from D&T Aquarium Supplies? It's priced there much less than the Hamilton site....

i would buy a 4' t-5VHO light best bang for the buck

you could hang an overflow off the side of tank and still have light for it

I think Jay meant a 3'; however, I'm not sure if anyone makes a 3' T-5 VHO fixture? I assume you need a fixture and not a retrofit?

I would save up for an ATI PM 4 x 24 watt and hang it about 6" above the water. Pricy but its probably the best way to go on a 30" tank and be able to penatrate to the bottom of the tank.
