I'm got a 10g nano with a hood on it and I'm planning on keeping corals in it. Soft Corals, LPS, and SPS. What kind of lighting should I get??

(pics are thumbs, click for fullsize)

This is the hood I have:

Here is a better look at the bulbs

The short version is that absolutely anything you buy will be better than the current hood. I have the same one on a guppy tank, do you notice the bulbs going bad far too fast? I tried the coralife compact flourescents that are made to go in those sockets, and they went bad in less than a month. Incandescents don't last much longer.

I'm pretty eager to see the responses here as well, as I'm thinking of converting my own 10g into a nano tank.

This use to be my brothers tank and hes been running it since January and he just sold it to me and he hadn't lost a bulb yet. Though I have been thinking of getting a glass top and epoxy mounting a light fixture on the back of the tank.

I've been eyeballing the 2x36 retrofit set from AH supply, with a custom hood. I kinda regret buying PC's for my 90 gallon, but things are a lot trickier for lighting a 10.

I'm running a Current SLR-style Nova Extreme T5, 4 bulb, over my 10g. The little bit of over hang on the sides is nothing and doesn't look bad at all IMO. The 24" fixture gives you WAY more bulb choices over the 20" Current Nova Pro.
