I'm planning on buying a Ro system For a 50 gallon tank set up and I was wondering how many GPD (Gallons Per Day)I need because I'm Thinking 50.( i can ajust my pumps to the proper GPD.)

I don't know what you mean by adjust your pump but a 50 GPD RO will work just fine. Keep in mind that if you upgrade to a bigger tank (which almost always happens) you may want a larger unit. I would at least get a 75GPD but thats just me.

+1 for 75GPD

it is a standard size; it just makes sense.
also, my family switch to RO water to drink, and the
extra speed matters a fair bit.

A 35 gpd will easily suit your current needs but, as was pointed out, a 75 will cover most future expansions.

It usually doesn't cost much more for a 90 gpd compared to a 75 or 35, and it is always nice to be able to fill it up quicker. Make sure you set up a float cut off so you don't flood your house.

I agree with that you get more from a 90 gpd but note that most 75 gpd membranes have a much better rejection rate. Depending on how pure your tap water is I would go with the 75 but to each their own.

Note: If your tap water TDS is low than I would say go with the 90 but if it is high like mine I strongly suggest the 75.

I have the 75 and love it. I also went with the dual canister De Ionizer, not much more in cost. If you are using it for drinking water as well tee it off before it enters the DI chambers if connected to an ice maker it must have at least a three gallon pressure tank and your ice maker will need adjustment. If you ever get hollow ice cubes turn your ice maker off, service your filters and try again, if it is still making hollow ice cubes your ice maker will need adjusting again or you will burn it out.

Consider going with a 75 gpd - it will fit your needs now, and also later if you decide to get a larger tank. JMO
