I got these as hitch hikers on a zoa colony from Fiji:

They are a nice deep purple colour with white highlights - really cool looking little guys. And so far I've done nothing for them, but they seem to be doing pretty well.

Now originally I just thought they were tiny scolymias or something, but then I read that scolys are usually solitary.

And then furthermore, I came upon this site:

In his latest post he shows some pictures of Acan maximas. And one of them looks exactly like the ones I have:

So do you think these are Acan maximas? No? What else could they be?

All misidentified . Eddie is a collector, not a taxonomist ;) Acan maximas only allure is that theyre extremely rare and found in only one area that no collection is allowed. That being said, any other rare oddity that comes in that comes in as a large lord, or scoly among other specie gets coined as an acan maxima by the collectors and wholesellers. Like Metallica says, SAD BUT TRUE.
