hey all thought i'd start a log of my nano. getting tired of making a lot of threads over pics, when i could just put them all in one thread.
Specs:
tanks:
18 gallon glass rimless tank (18 x 15 x 15)
5.5 gallon sump
lighting:
2 x 24 watt nova extreme (the new SLR model
giesemann bulbs - aquablue + pure actinic (the purple bulb)
2 x 460nm powerbrite strips
filtration (lol):
live rock
coralife ss 65 (its fine on such a small tank but overall pretty crappy)
heating:
had many heater woes (more on this later)
went back to the old submerge glass type heater
cooling:
large 10 inch fan over sump
window AC unit
I dose b-ionic. tank seems bit small to be running a Calcium reactor and all

well my heater broke, and i lost pretty much everything u see in the pic above.
So i restarted, got back up on my feet, and tried again. eventually, it looked decent. This was when i entered for ntotm (haha i must have been drunk or something)

Are you using a 24" light?
Tank looks very nice. Is it Starphire (low-iron glass), or just normal glass?

Great start for sure. Will look killer once its grown in. I enjoy the simplistic/minimal approach.

Quick update.
I removed one of the rocks from my scape. Really just didnt look like it belonged.
I also picked a few corals up.
Also, im sorry, i whiped my photobucket account clean, and all the pics that were posted earlier went to trash.
anyway,
here is FTS (i remounted the icefire to the rockwork... and took it off the ugly plug. (you cannot see the icefire in the pic though... the frag is too small :) )

mind the algea... just picked up some CUC to take care of it. (also need to go get some GFO and a GFO reactor, since im SURE phosphates are a cause of it.)

That is a SMALL frag, that's like 6 polyps. It will be awesome seeing that one grow up. Very cool.

Dan... the tank is looking great, and the icefire is growing quick lol! You gotta come back out to Buffalo soon so we can hit up the LFS's (as long as Kevin isn't driving) LOL.
