ok guys i went to the beach for a wekk and got my girlfriend and my mom to look after my tank and when i get back it is coverd in this purple slime looking stuff its on the sb all over the lr and glas plese help right now i have done a 15% wc and replaced the carbon in my fluval and put new carbon on the rack on my sump

It is cyano bacteria. Increase your flow in the tank and reduce your lights for a while. Suck out as much as you can when you do your water changes.

Sounds like you're already on the right track witht the carbon and water changes.

ok i have 3 power heads a 100g fluvav just running carbon a hob 30-60 gall empty just for extra flow and my return pump from the sump its a 75g tank do you think i need more flow and how do i get it off my lr???

Can you try a turker baster to blow it off?

You might just aim the power heads you have to increase the flow across the substrate.
