Hi

Our new High precise Alklinity Test Kit is available.

Easy and simple to test
high accurate dkH measurement
and safe to use.

Here is the comment of an Tester from the UK

"There is little to say about salifert tests nowdays....
I've now used this Fauna Marin DKH test since middle of last week and it's great.
a very different reading to my salifert test. much lower!!!

Will be sticking to Fauna Marin now for this test (as stated in the ITC forum)"

Or another one

"As Iam back in the testing thing again with a new tank and having just spent a small fortune on Machery Nagel kits for KH, Phosphate, Calcium, and Nitrate, its nice to find a product that does a good job for less money, even if we do sell it.

After so much ups and downs over the last few years with testing I am pretty much a cynic these days and regardless of it being made by Claude at FM who I think is a very reputable company my cynicism means lets get a few in test them and then if we are happy let a few shops have them gain a bit more feedback then do a bigger order.

Just me get old in these testing times

Ps, is easier to use than the salifert too...

HI

Thanks for your interest

1.

We use a very accurate solution which is laboratory controlled

2. We use a special bottle which brings exact drops not depending how much pressure you give on the bottle

So the test is everytime exact and very easy to read

Here is a new comment from another Forum in europe
after the test of the test

"
I tried the FM dkh test kit this morning. My dkh is 8.5 compared with 9.3 on my salifert kit.

I've been building my dkh from 8 to 9.3 (salifert) because i was suffering some rtn on one or two sps. I'm now thinking that the rtn was because my dkh was closer to 7 than 8.

I'm impressed with the quality of the kit.

The syringe is robust and i like the glass phial instead of usual plastic. The test is simplicity itself and the colour change from Blue to orange/red is quick and dramatic so cant be missed.

Hi
I tryed the dkh test from Fauna Marin also.
I can say it's great!!
Not to compare with other tests like Salifert.
The test is realy simpel to use and damn exact !!
@Claude
i would wish that you make more different tests like calcium magnesium etc.

Got my test today!
This test reminds me of Elos test kit, exept Elos comes in the box.
Here is my results:
Fm--8.0kh
lamotte--8.01 kh/ 143ppm
Elos-8,5 kh

so, results are pretty good.I will be testing for couple of more days and see..

PS,
Claude, Why we have to keep test kit in the refrigerator?

Hi Mike

Every test kit will be more staple and have a longer shelftime if you store it in the fridge.

Please do not make the test if the solution is cool
wait some minutes before you use it.

Is FM going to get other test kits like, po4 and calcium, magnesium etc.

they already have Potassium test which is highly popular, and I think others will follow fast. it would not surprise me either if these then came the main kit everyone trusts based on the track record of the ones on the market now.

I find that really hard to believe that anybody is going to get RTN because one test kit reads 8.5 and the other 9.3.
The difference between the test kits is not much at all, hardly going to cause RTN.

How does the FM test kit compare to the Tunze kits which are also a very good test kit

Hi

a lot tests showed that some tests showed 2,2 to less
if you work with an ULNS at 6.5 - 7 dKh it can be a massive problem
if the test showed wrong

There are probably differences due to different endpoint pH values. The endpoint is different for seawater and freshwater and thus test kits designed for freshwater will give too low result.
