I just received my DE 250w halide retro kit. I am looking at the best way to mount it. I have an open top with a beam across the back and a center brace. Is a metal rack or wooden rack better? Can i just attach directly to the wood (will it get too hot?)? Just looking for any good ideas! Thanks!

Wood rack would be easier to make. I have mine directly attached to the inside of my canopy.

I bought a square aluminum tube and painted it black and mounted my lights to that andhung it fr the ceiling. I'll post a pic tomorrow. The bar was $20 at home depot.
