I kindof feel dumb but I have no idea what this is in my tank and I need help with an ID. Sorry dont have a pic yet, but will try to get one tonight.

It is some kind of worm looking thing that is about 1/2" long x 1/16" diameter and tan in color. I have seen dozens of them slithering around the tank. They have lots of "hairs" that they extend when "parked". Basically they find a spot, and send out the hairs which reach about 1 1/2" when extended, and wait for food. When I feed the tank they all retract and start moving around trying to find more food.

Any guesses?

good. Typically they find themselves a hole to live in and you only see the tentacled mouth parts picking up microleftovers etc. on the rocks. If they are all out and about, maybe some recent change got them moving around for different lodging. neat though.
