Hey all,

My work has a 80g corner sw tank and we had a red bubble tip anemone in there for a couple months. It moved so much and finally picked a decent spot under a big rock but was able to reach out for light and some food. About 3 weeks again we noticed that it just stayed under the rock and never reached out anymore. Now the tentacles are gone and its under the rock hanging and it inflates a but then deflate some. Any help or is it just dead? Thanks

It sounds like it could be expelling extra nutients but what kind of lights, flow, food are you giving it? anemone's do that often. some of them dont like high flow on them. and maybe try to offer some shrimp to eat. they also like pristine water so a water change me be in order.

Just to let u no when an anemone is dieing u will see it expelling white stringing stuff out of its tentecals or so out of his foot u will also see this around the edge of the oral disk. They will also just puke their guts out.U will know if its its guts or waste because normally their waste will flow in to the water column and get sucked in to the filter.
