A year old 200 should have the newest Venturi available. I would definitely drill holes in the lid if you don't run or plan on running ozone. Keeping the fan portion of the dart clean and inspect for leaks around seals every so often. Other than that it is really maintenance free beside cleaning the stinky skimmate cup.;)

Does either of the lids, from the stock cup or the upgrade have holes in them?

OK the upgrade cup will not have holes. The minimum I would place is 4 holes 1/4 to 5/16ths in size. If you ever decide to use ozone you can utilize the other lid as both fit the stock and the upgrade cup.

I would also drill the upgrade cup lid as it will have a inner collar that will help prevent foam from exiting the holes. If you ever decide to use ozone you can utilize the other lid as both fit the stock and the upgrade cup.
