Elos magnesium test kit not working...

Hello Elos, I must have gotten a bad batch of ur Elos test kit... When I am adding reagent D no matter how much drops I use it does not turn from pink-violet too light blue, I have gone up too 40 drops so far on 3 different occassions and nothing, my reagent D is almost done for!!!

Please help me out!

When you finish phase 1 on the instructions dump out the test water and then add 3ml of new test water and start phase 2. It sounds like you are using reagent d on phase 1 and you will just get a muddy color. We've had no bad mg batches reported from Italy or the US lab we use to verify our kits. Hope that helps.

i just bought a new elos MG kit today and did the same thing! twice :mad2:!!! hey jesse, do you sell MG solution refills seperately?

Just wanted to say I found this thread and I just did the exact same thing; the instructions aren't so clear (the English isn't very good) and basically tossed out two test's worth of chemicals. Maybe they can revise the English instructions soon?

Suggestion: Jesse, why don't you create an instruction manual print it out and send it out with the test kits you sell. Heck any one of us could do this and it would save everyone a lot of headaches.

OR, put a red sticker on the box to go to the Elos USA website to download (PDF) simple clear english instructions, this way you can attach the red sticker on all that gets shipped out to vendors like Marine Depot.
