Ok gang... I have a question......let me set it up.....I have been in the fish hobby for approx 2 years now..... fresh mostly salt for about 2 months..... I have 12 tanks...( i think over 800 gallons).. 4 are salt water...
I have attached a pic of my shop where the majority ot the tanks are located..(5200 Sq.feet).. the blue indicate salt the green indicate fresh the yellow indicates liazard / frog the orange is the water making area.. I currently have soft coral (youtube search for "quickcope" to see all my tanks.... I have succesfully raised fresh water fish from eggs and at the moment I currently have about 200 brand new babies in a seperate tank... I also have Lion fish, eel, sea horse, in seperate tanks as well.... I have approx 200 fish large to small and all kinds....... Here is the QUESTION... Since I have so many different species of fish and each one needs a different diet, shrimp, silver sides, brine shrimp, and so on... (I have diffenent tank raising those as well... Just started that) I think I want to make one central pump/ filter room.... I have a chiller.... How would you go about setting up a massive sump for salt and maybe a huge wet dry for fresh and would it be good or bad idea? it would be like a fish store..... any ideas or websites that have DIY setups for this type idea? Or is it better to have it like I do now.. all seperate......... thanks in advance..... I am sure I have left out critical info here... but I am serious about my hobby and love the inventive part of the hobby... I try not to short cut anything.......
1=140 gallon
2= 20,20,75
3=10,10
4= 75
5=135
6=90
7=3,35 gallon mix tanks
