So I have a couple aptasia popping up and have heard that you could use kalk paste to kill it. Is this the residue that accumulates at the bottom of the container? Also I have one that is really tiny and is growind directly next to a zoo frag (its almost coming out of it, it is so close) will the kalk kill the zoo if I get any on it? Some are too small to inject with a needle that is why I am looking into kalk paste. I also have a really big one. Should I just smother it with the kalk?

What I usually do is just epoxy the whole area shut, works miracles and doesn't involve messy injections.

You say epoxy... do you use kalk or reef safe epoxy?

I tried kalk on a few of mine and they just ended up popping up around the kalk. I then bought some peppermint shrimp and they have eradicated what few aiptaisia I had. Not a guarantee, but pep shrimp are very effective if they will eat them and you don't have very many.

Ive used the kalk paste, but make sure you inject it as the aiptasia closes.
