I'd like to setup the RSS feed in my Outlook at work. Trying to figure out the address to punch in for my controller.

Nay help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Easiest way; navigate to the tank page, RSS and choose subscribe to this feed; Outlook syncs feeds automagically.

http://ipaddress:port/rss.sht

But you cannot do it from Outlook directly, because the RSS feed from the AC still requires authentication.

Close Outlook. Using Internet Explorer, go to the URL. Enter your AC3 credentials when prompted, and check Remember the password, the Click OK. When the page loads. Click on 'Subscribe to this feed' in the yellow box.

The feed should then show up in Outlook.

(This assumes you are using Outlook 2007)

Oh, yea. you mean the other browsers don't do that :)

The feeds shouldn't need auth.

Shouldn't - yes. But they do. :( Being read-only, I feel there is no risk in having all of the XML files available without auth, but Curt stated otherwise:

Could rss.sht and the 3 xml files be anonymously available (without authenticating)? Or, at least by implementation of a read-only guest account?

We have decided to leave it password protected for security reasons.

Curt

If I delete my current feed subscription in IE8, then hit the rss.sht URL, I will get prompted for creds.

I suspect it's more of an architectural issue with the embedded web server than an actual security concern.

Nope... other browser just work... without worming their barbed little hooks into everything on the system. :p
