This stuff?
I attached a small piece to a float in my display and let it grow huge then moved it to the sump, it really loved the flow and light (no fish eating it)
It grew slower in the sump with a small plant light bulb, but still enough growth that I could harvest pieces regularly.
Edit: as my sig says, it was under 450 watts of MH lighting

I believe it's a free floating/drifting type of algae so it will probably grow best in a place with strong light and current. I've heard that commercial growers keep it in vats with a large air bubbler in the middle so the algae constantly tumble and circulate from top to bottom.

That really doesn't look like gracilaria, more like halymenia

Halymenia.. aka Dragon's Tongue

Gracilaria does have many growth forms and colors but what your showing is a dead ringer for halymenia
