I have two 6100s mounted high on one end of an 8' tank. The short sequential burst gives me a nice .5-1" wave across the tank.
Im loving the water movement.

Will running this setting cause the pumps to wear faster? I have had these pumps runnning for about 1.5 years on just pulse settings and they have been flawless.

The main difference is calcium will build up faster in the pumps. Clean them more often and everything will be fine.

Sequential works best with 4 pumps. With 2-3 pumps it is more random but if you like the result, it is not wrong to use it.
