We just moved and I am in the process of resetting up my 90g. My livestock has been living in temp housing for the last 6 months. I had to throw the sand away that was in the tank. I just hate the idea of spending $100 again on sand. I would like to see your play sand tanks. If you could please let me know what kind of sand it is and where you got it.

Here is my playsand tank. I changed to playsand when I upgraded to my 150 gallon about 4 months ago. I used quickcrete playsand. About 2 5olbs bags. I bought them at home depot for about $6 a bag. I havnt had any problems. And theres already lots of life visible in the sand.

No pics, the camera died, but both my 46 and 35 gallon reefs use playsand from Lowe's and no problems what so ever.

No pics but I've used it in my fresh water setups with no problems. Does tend to be dusty, rinse well.

save the money go with play sand and use a stress guard as a boost so just in case of a spike
