What would happen if I put the askoll pump on my extreme 200 skimmer?? I am interested in upgrading it just to play with it some. Is the skimmer and the sicce pump pretty well matched or is there room for improvement???

FOAM CANNON!!!! The body and the neck can't take the airpull of the Askoll 1500. It is pretty much maxed out with the Large PPW.

Im just using the stock wheel in it right now so should I put in the large ppw?

If it were me I would. They make a huge difference and much more reliable than running mesh.

I completely agree with tas5tas an askoll would not be beneficial to the performance of the Extreme 200 body. I highly recommend the Large Purple Pinwheel because it's added performance to the Sicce pump is a great match for the 200 body/neck.

Every tank is different, but I was talked out of buying the PPW by a prominent member on here. He said he just didnt get the performance he hoped for out of it. I went back the mesh, as the above did, and have been happy so far.
