Ok, so i want to start hand feeding all my corals (in main tank and frag). So my question is what is every one hand feeding there Acro, monti, challice and zoo's. Please feel free to share anything let it be home made mixture, lfs bought or anything. Also i know this is not needed so oone hundred post of ppl saying " i only dose or i do nothing" is not needed.

Hi there, I feed my acros a home made mix of plankton (collect myself), prawn, lobster eggs, fresh fish - high in omega 3,fresh mussels, fresh oysters, fresh scallops, spectrum pellets.

I put the whole lot in to a blender until I get this brown mush.
put it in to ice cube trays and freeze.

When I want to feed my corals I thaw out a block of this in a cup of tank water.

Let it break up in the water, turn off your pumps and apply with
a turkey baster.

I normally do this at night about an hour after the lights are out as this is when they are feeding.

My corals seem to love it.

Rod's food is a great "all around" food. It has larger pieces for the LPS, all the way down to very small for SPS.

OK here we go.

A tablespoon of plankton,3 prawns - squeeze the goo out of the head also, 3 mussels, 3 oysters, 3 sardines,2 scallops, lobster eggs - tablespoon full, 2 tablespoons spectrum pellets.

When it stinks you will know you are on the right track.
Use products that are suitable for human consumption.
I would not recommend using fishing bait.

I like feeding my corals Rod's food, Cyclops-eeze, marine snow, and mysis for the lps. All the corals seem happier and grow faster when I feed them and start to look bad when I stop feeding them for long periods of time.

Phyto is pretty useless for SPS and LPS....they will eat zooplankton, but phytoplankton is too small for the polyps of SPS, and WAY too small for the mouths of LPS. Some zoo's will take phyto, but it is better used in non-photosynthetic tanks and softie dominated systems.
