Thes guys are only about 1.5" so I doubt theyre scampi. I could really use some genuine answers.

GULF OF MEXICO? there pepperments i pull out a few hundred every season, sell them to our local fish store for 3 bucks each

These are not Lysmata Wurdemanni, the peppermint shrimp that are desired for aiptasia control. Although they were collected at the same place and both were being caught, these not on the list of pep shrimp species .. Scroll down to the color pic and description''' Yes, the gulf of Mexico off the coast of Texas...

Looks alot like D on page 196 to me. Other than that, I'm not sure. I'll check on of my books when I get home later.

All those examples have lateral stripes, the ones in question have none.... Thanks, Id be curious what your books have to offer... There are these but the're Pacific (Hawaiian) waters only...
