Selling the magnetic rocks I made a few months back. Live rock used with the magnets are "live" and are placed on the sides of my display tank; the current rocks no longer support the design of the tank so I'd rather see them put to good use with corals growing and encrusting on them. These are not your little bitty rocks with a magnet, these are designed to hold larger showpieces where space is an issue.
These neodynium rare earth magnets are graded at N42 which are much stronger than regular magnets found anywhere and as I have learned, can be quite expensive. I am simply looking to recoup what I spent on the magnets and a little of the rock, they are fully cycled and can go straight into your tanks. My tank has a glass wall of 1/2 inch, and these magnets hold these rocks in place very well.
The magnets used:
(round) 3/4" dia. x 3/8" thick @ $3.50 each (X2 since there are matching magnets outside the tank!)
(rectangular) 1" x 1/2" x 1/4" thick @ $3.25 each (X2 since there are matching magnets outside the tank!)
and can be located here for reference:
