Just got a new cam so I figure I'd post some pics to see what you guys think. Its a Rebel Xsi. Thanks for looking. The first one is an HDR through Photomatix but I'm still learning how to use that program.

Yeah....the standard 18-55mm lens. I'll picking up some new lens in the next two weeks or so.

Very nicely done. You made the 18-55 shine! What other lenses are you looking forward to?

Thanks for all the comments. Not too sure what my next lens will be yet. Probably something along the around 200-300mm area and then a 100mm macro lens for sure.

Sigma has a 100-300 f/4 that has good reviews.

Did the xsi come with 18-55 IS or the non IS?

I've been camping all weekend so I'll post some more once I get back to a pc. The xsi kit that purchases came with the 18-55mm and yes it is the is version. Thanks for the compliments. I'll post more to see what you guys think.

I think the photographer deserves more credit here than the camera ;)
Love the shots.. well composed and beautifully saturated.

The HDR's are beautiful.. but a little "soft"? Have you tried playing around with the sharpness slider in Photomatix?

Thank you. Its my first dSLR and I'm really enjoying it. I haven't really played with the sharpness slider but maybe I'll run one of them through it again to see if the end results are better. Thanks for the tip.
