Posted this in the fishes forum and was told to try here, so here's my question. Has anyone had one in their tank? I really want one but only if they will survive in a captivity. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

if your going to try a jelly, Cassiopea upside down jellies would be the best to try.
that being said, long term survival is still very low.

They tend to only live for a few months. They need special care so read up if you are going to get one.

They need to be in a dedicated tank with no rocks, and the filtration set up so as not to suck them up ;) Also need very strong lighting, they are typically only found in very shallow water.

Maybe I'll just admire them from afar for awhile. They are neat though.

The public aquarium over here has a tank with upside down jellies and it looks really cool. It's part of their permenant display so I'm sure that with the right research you will be able to keep them.Hope it goes well for you
