Hi,
My 150 G evaporates 3-4 gallons every day, would it be Ok to top off those with Kalk or is that too much for 1 day addition? are there any limits to how much Kalk you can dose daily? Don't have a stirrer so far so basically will be mixing the kalk in a container allowing it to settle for few hours then take the clear solution to be dripped in teh tank during night time.
Any idea how much alk would be increased by dosing 3-4 gallons of saturated kalk? total water volume including sump and frag tank is around 150 G

I personally am a HUGE fan of ATO's. With an ATO you would dose throughout the day and not have a big spike. I would think that 4 gallons at once would probably be a little much, but if you had ATO it is done in small increments. I dose about 4 gal/day on mine, a little at a time...

You should be ok with using ato or a drip (but drip slowwwwly). I suggest using a ATO if you can do it. It really is the best that way.
