I'm reworking my plumbing, and have a quick question regarding return pumps. from my 20 gallon sump, I have plumbed my return so it splits to 1) calcium reactor, 2) phosban reactor, 3) chiller, 4) two tank returns. Should I go with a mag 12 or 18? My tank is a 75 gallon drilled with 1 1/2 inch overflow line and two 3/4 returns. Each split has a ball valve, with a master gate at the return.

I used a head-loss calculator, and with my plumbing the mag 18 is coming in at 625 gallons an hour to the tank, not including the 55 gallons per hour I'm bleeding off to the phosban reactor.

For flow, i am also using two Tunze 6085's. It's mostly a SPS tank, with a few LPS.

Not sure, but I always error on the high side. You can always use a ball **** valve to throttle back if you need too.

I agree. Extra flow and lots of ****ing ball valves. :)
