Anyone use Roti Feast or Phyto Feast made by Reef Nutrition? And if you do, have you seen any difference in your coral?

Do you leave your skimmers on or turn them off for a while?

on--they'll kill the foam so it won't be taking it out directly.

Like I said on the other thread, I have found Oyster-Feast and Roti-Feast to be a great alternative for DT's Oyster Eggs. I have had great results with DT's but after a while it can get expensive IMO. I just switched to Oyster and Roti-Feast this month and we'll see how it goes. So far so good.... I''m starting to notice some new bluish buds popping out all over my A. Formosa colony.

I just started using Oyster-Feast, Arctipods, and Phyto-Feast(for Tigger-Pods to see if I can propagate them in the fuge). I didn't get the Roti-Feast though. Highly recommended?

On initial use, these products seem to really kill my skimmer production for 24 hours or so...not sure that I am a big fan of that, but suppose it is the price...

I started with 1/2 teaspoon of Oyster-Feast for my 55g. Target feeding as much as possible. Sound right? I have to get some plastic soda bottles to make some feeding domes...

i never target feed i turned the skimmer off for a half hour and mixed the oyster feast with the fish food and fed it all at once, and left my vortchs on so it would take the food to the corals. I just figured the corals will feed somehow by doing this.

I started dosing today Oyster Feast, and I am excited to see the results. I am dosing one teaspoon a day in my 29g biocube! I will let you know how it goes!

That's alot! The directions say to work up to 1-2 tsp per 100 gal over a month!!!

You are right, I may slow it down to half a teaspoon, I did not catch the part where it said to work it up to that over a month! Thanks!

A 29g should start at more like 1/4 teaspoon, no? I am starting at no more than 1/2 teaspoon on my 55g...and probably will only be feeding O-F twice per week...

You are probably right, I will move it down to that even! It seems like its such a small dose, but better follow the directions!
