View Full Version : Can Anyone Identify These?

Hey Guys,

I got this empty shell and it turn out it is not that empty! Can anyone tell me what is on its back? In fact there are 2 one small and the other close to the end is larger.

Normally, I would have said barnacle, but from minute 3:00 to the end at 3:08, it appears as though something black extends from the bottom edge of the shell. I didn't see anything before that, but I didn't watch it all.

i have one of those on my hermits shell. i think it died though because the little black tube thing never comes out.

Lol was looking at one of your links on the other thread pagojoe and found "Nassarius cockburnensis" Wonder how it got that **** burning name.

LOL I think it was named after old Rooster..or was that Cogburn....
