I don't know if they are the same fish or not.I have been told two different things. But I'm looking for one

Thank you for your inquiry. The Redtail and Sargassum Triggerfish are in the same family of fish however, they are two different species of Triggerfish. The Redtail is Xanthichthys mento and the Sargassum is Xanthichthys ringens. We are checking with our Aquaculture Coral & Marine Life Facility regarding the availability of the Redtail and Sargassum Triggerfish. We will post back once we have an answer available for you.
