activated carbon

I have a HOB filter that I am using for my QT, but I need to seed it first. The filter media that it has in it uses activated carbon. I have read mixed reviews about ac in saltwater, so I just want a few more opinions before sticking it in my DT.

Many people run GAC (granualted activated carbon) to help clear the water and help with aleopathy.

GAC will not harm anything. I use it in my 55g SW and it polishes the water. Don't worry about it and run it on the QT.
