Hey all. Small question before I go out buying things I don't need. I've read that phosban reactors work great to reduce phospates and help control algae. Also of course cuc will help with algae. So my question is, if I go with a reactor to run would I not want much of a clean up crew? I've been recommended to buy a crew of 20 snails but don't want to have lots of dead snails in the tank because they run out of food if I'm using a reactor.
Another question is do either of these have benefits or adverse affects to sps keeping? Currently I have no sps but plan to start dipping into them around the end of the year. Thanks everyone.

If your going to get into sps i would get both. the reactor will get rid of all your phosphates and the cuc will take care of any detritus. even if there is no algae they will eat the fish poo and left over food that settles. hth
